What is Learning Accompaniment?
The ongoing support from an experienced and learning-focused expert to ensure that your team or organization is making the most of your opportunities to learn, support others' learning, and improve in what you do and how you do it!
Learning accompaniment is like having a "fractional Chief Learning Officer", a learning advocate for employees and collaborators, or even an on-call learning [expert/team member] who knows enough about your work and your team to help you in both small and large learning opportunities!
From an execution-only organizational mindset, with little improvement and painful meetings and high turnover, to a growth mindset that thrives and improves by integrating learning into the organization's way of working
Event design and facilitation (ongoing)
Ongoing and integrated event design and facilitation services,
including improving the design and facilitation of regular meetings and learning-specific meetings such as AARs, program reviews, quarterly or annual check-ins, etc.
Training design & support (ongoing)
Ongoing and integrated training design and support services, including
designing specifically for hiring, onboarding, knowledge management routines, and offboarding
Sensemaking (ongoing)
Ongoing and integrated sensemaking services,
including sessions on organizational strategy, mapping team's skill assets and gaps, and processing challenging transitions
Learning consultation and advising
Regular engagements as a member of a larger team of designers and doers, to ensure that learning strengths and opportunities are built into organizational projects, initiatives, and processes
The consultation or advising might focus on a proposal to provide services, a planned reorg or acquisition, a specific organization-wide challenge, or even plans for a low-performing employee's probationary period.
